The Company
This leading IT Service Provider is looking for their next Systems Engineer in Wellington.
The Role
Are you ready to thrive in a dynamic and diverse role? As an Intermediate Systems Engineer, you'll experience variety every day. You'll be responsible for administering infrastructure across Upper Hutt and Auckland, troubleshooting issues, handling installations at customer sites, and contributing to various projects.
About You
We're looking for a well-rounded professional with a proactive mindset who can hit the ground running. You should bring a strong mix of core infrastructure skills and technologies to the table, ensuring you're prepared for the diverse challenges this role presents.
In order to be considered for this role you will have most or all the following:
At least 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in an MSP environment is favorable.
1+ years of experience managing server infrastructure – Strong knowledge of Hyper-V and Windows Server 2016/2019.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure / InTune
A solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer is favorable.
Strong Knowledge and experience with networking concepts, protocols and services, firewalls, routers and switches experience with Fortinet/Mikrotik is favorable.
Good Knowledge of active directory, group policy and DNS (The problem is always DNS)
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Recognises the importance of maintaining up-to-date documentation records.
Ability to work independently and assist team members in resolving customer problems.
The ability to communicate with all stakeholders, including those with non-technical backgrounds.
Excellent customer facing skills. Superb written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Available to be on the on-call roster.
To be considered you must also meet the following:
Be currently based in the Wellington Region
Must have New Zealand Citizenship/Permanent Residency or valid work visa.
Have a clean full New Zealand driver’s licence (some driving is required so this is non-negotiable).
